Winners and Losers

WINNERS AND LOSERS

The winners in a competitive game are usually the ones who played more skillfully and scored higher. The losers went home with more to learn and a new start at the next game. These "losers" can change their position by continuing in the competition, and at the next game their status changes, if they win the next game. The out come for the teams is determined at the end of the season by counting the wins vs. losses with the other teams at the end of the season.

.
Not that I have already obtained this or am already perfect, but I press on to make it my own, because Christ Jesus has made me his own.
Brothers, I do not consider that I have made it my own. But one thing I do: forgetting what lies behind and straining forward to what lies ahead,
I press on toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus.
Let those of us who are mature think this way...
(Phil. 3:11-15a)

We as the church are entering a new season of grace and power and have been given a mandate to reach this world with the gospel and to affect and train this generation in a way never attempted before in history. We have entered in running, and now is the time to remain in the race, don't quit or slow down. Paul said it best, "run to win"! Let us continue on in this season, training and pressing toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God, after all at the end of this season, we win!

You know that many runners enter a race, and only one of them wins the prize. So run to win!
Athletes work hard to win a crown that cannot last, but we do it for a crown that will last forever.
I don't run without a goal. And I don't box by beating my fists in the air.
I keep my body under control and make it my slave, so I
won't lose out after telling the good news to others.
1st Cor. 9:24-27
One more thought... if you never enter the race or stay in it you will never win. It is not the loss of a game, race, or competition that labels us as losers, it is not entering in that predetermines that out come.

Do not stop, quit, or give up, only surrender.....to The Lord Jesus Christ and the purpose to which you were born.
To Win!!

DARE TO BE, DARE TO BELIEVE EVERYTHING IS POSSIBLE

Imitate God as dearly loved children, Have the same attitude among yourselves that was also in Christ Jesus. Instead, of poured out in emptiness, a servant’s form did he possess, A mortal man becoming. In human form he chose to be, and lived in all humility, Death on a cross obeying. Now lifted up by God to heaven, a name above all others given, This matchless name possessing. (Eph 5:1, Phil. 2:5, 7, 8)Your spiritual DNA, to want to love the father as Jesus loved his father. For it is God who is producing in you both the desire and the ability to do what pleases him. (Phil 2:13) We being new creations with the old passed away and all becoming new, the possibilities are as endless as the Lord is eternal! Just think, Jesus said that greater works shall we do because He goes to the Father. Never again will we be beggars, for the heritage of the sons of God share in the inheritance of the Son of David of which it is said “he has never seen the righteous forsaken nor His seed begging bread”. We are sons and daughters of the most High

God! We are champions and over comers in this world. The love of God is in you, and runs through you as you give place through surrender. Love brought you to this place, “behold what manner of the Love the Father has given unto us, that we should be called the sons of God! Stop and look at who you may grow into. We as children of God are called to reign as Kings and priests in this age. (Rev 5:10)But made himself of no reputation, and took upon him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men: And being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross. Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name: (Phil2:7-9) Enter into your destiny, be who God called you to be, in the marketplace as well as in your homes. There is no such thing as too much of God in your life. God will always ask of you what is impossible for you to do, because it is He who works in you to do... He will equip you for the task at hand. Love, trust, obey, and be blessed.

Faith Births Expectations

Danny Varela has served in ministry for over 25 years. He is the founder of the Deep Tissue Center, a world renowned muscle therapy clinic. Danny currently serves as a teacher and ministry adviser for The Gathering Place. Here are a few words from Danny…

When a woman gets pregnant, she expects a new born. Not now but sometime in the future, nine months; sometimes a little longer, sometimes a little sooner. You know the baby is coming, just be patient. However, if there is enough doubt you can cause yourself to have complications.

Doubt, worrying, anxiety, and not focusing on what you are suppose to be doing to have a healthy child can cause delay, premature birth, sickness, disease, and unfortunately death of the baby.

When expecting for birth, women many times will think, dream and have passion for their baby. During this time they might even go through some trials as they are patiently waiting for the day. Their faith is constantly being tested.

Then the day comes patience has had its perfect work and the future is now the present. “But let patience have her perfect work, that ye may be perfect and entire wanting nothing” (James 1:4)

Patience is a seed, it always produces a Harvest. Patience is always rewarded.

Plant your seed, have faith, be patient. Have a vision for that seed. Think about the seed, keep your focus on it and have passion for what you have planted. Your season will come just like the women waiting to bare her child.

Faith births expectation. Expectation is waiting on God. Waiting on God is having complete trust in Him. When you are patiently waiting on God and trusting him, following His direction; the Harvest will be even larger than you ever dreamed.

Remember, God always first. He is your sole source and provider for everything.

“Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding: in all your ways acknowledge Him, and he will direct your paths” (Proverbs 3: 5, 6)

What Time Is It?

Is it time to stress and worry over what is coming next?

The economy, the elections, my job, my house, my family, what's next?

The answers are not easily reached, especially when we are caught up in just living this life. We trust our political and economic system, just to be betrayed, or so it seems. There is an answer..........

The Message Translation puts it this way:

What I'm trying to do here is get you to relax, not to be so preoccupied with getting so you can respond to God's giving. People who don't know God and the way he works fuss over these things, but you know both God and how he works. Steep yourself in God-reality, God-initiative, God's-provisions. You'll find all your everyday human concerns will be met. Don't be afraid of missing out. You're my dearest friends! The Father wants to give you the kingdom itself.
(Luke 12:28-32)

Simple yet not easy, we do have a hard time trusting. Jesus isn't spouting off words to console you, but giving you a working solution to getting out of this rat race we are in. Remember as a child of God you are Blessed, Above only, the Head and not the tail, an over comer, More than a conqueror! God sees you this way, so why don't you? Begin this day by being;

1. Blessed,

2. A Conqueror

3. Above only

4. The Head

5. Over comer, A Winner (not a whiner)

Begin speaking His realities over your life, and bring your life into alignment with what He has made you to be. You were not created to be driven by life and its realities. Isn't it Time for you to walk in the kingdom realities you were created to walk in?

Church it's Time for you to rise up and be the answer humanity has been searching for!

POWERLESS CHRISTIANS...

WITHOUT POWER ARE WE CHRIST LIKE?

The identity of Jesus Christ rested upon supernatural demonstration supporting His message. In the book of John chapter 10 verse 37 Jesus said, "If I don't do the works of my Father don't believe in me."

Do we as Christians get to pick and choose what attributes, and what works we believe in, and what we think is or is not for today? Did we forget that Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, the same today, and the same forever? How about the scripture that reminds us that even as He is now, so are we in this present age.

Wouldn't it be great to proclaim to the world as Jesus did. If we as the church don't do the works of our Father God, ...Don't believe us! If miracles are not present, you don't have to listen.

What's In A Name?

When you give your life to Jesus, or "accept Him as Lord and Savior", what does it mean?

I'm saved

I'm free

I'm delivered

Still... What does it mean? The definitions are as varied as the faces of the masses. In the current culture of American Christianity we have lost the true meaning of salvation, not to say that the current definitions of the masses are not valid no are they void of a truth. In our current culture we have watered down the value of our salvation by applying the benefits of salvation as the prize, and once we get the prize we rest, until we need Jesus again. Meanwhile we go to church and are semi involved, or we try to get the church, and don't let the pastor ask too much of you, or preach those hard messages about commitment we all love to hear.

Our salvation was an exchange, a vow and all or nothing commitment, covenant! An exchange because He exchanged your life for His, a vow, because it came with a promise of everlasting life and freedom from sin, and all or nothing commitment, because He gave all of His life for you that you might live, a covenant, because it was sealed in the spilled blood of our savior and Lord Jesus Christ. In this covenant, all that you have became His, and all that He has became yours, you became family, YOU ARE OF THE FAMILY OF GOD, you bear the name of Jesus!!
